After a Saturday storm flooded a 4-floor hotel — guest rooms, business center, 200-person meeting facility, and storage rooms — Kowalski crews deployed immediately and worked around the clock. With no service elevator, only 2 guest elevators, and the hotel remaining open throughout, the team brought in a 250 KVW generator, three 5,500 CFM and one 6,000 CFM tractor-trailer desiccants, ran 242 gallons of diesel a day, and maintained 5 full-time security officers. Individual rooms were taken offline as needed due to the extent of damage, but the hotel never closed. The full $976,209 restoration completed on schedule.

Smoke and fire damage spanned roughly one-third of one of Arizona's largest malls. The mall stayed open for business throughout the project. Kowalski staffed the job with around 100 workers running simultaneously, used three 65' boom lifts and 20 scissor lifts to reach the open-framed common-area ceilings, and cleaned the entire affected area in 10 days. Reconstruction took 14 days. One single store had over one million items inventoried, packed, processed, and returned.

Fire ripped through the attic of a 3-story 1979 apartment building, severely damaging 8 units and shutting down all 24. Kowalski stabilized and secured the structure, relocated all residents, and rebuilt to current code. Initial work — engineering, NESHAP, demolition, electrical reroute, roof trusses and sheathing, windows, doors, stucco — completed in 15 calendar days. The job estimate alone ran 105 pages.

On what The Weather Channel called "the wettest day on record in Phoenix," heavy water damage hit 126 apartment units across 26 three-story buildings plus a 2-story Clubhouse/Leasing Office. With the property near full capacity, Kowalski performed services in occupied units, and brought in two semi-trucks of rental drying equipment from out of state. The original 96-unit count grew to 126 within the week.

Long-term deterioration of stairways and balconies across a 248-unit community threatened resident safety. Kowalski's first move was temporary shoring and bracing — which also stabilized strained relations with the City Building Safety Department. The team redesigned the roof to redirect rainwater away from beams, eliminate pigeon harborage, and improve maintainability. Work was performed using large cranes over 2-story buildings to access interior units.
