Privacy Policy

Kowalski Construction Inc. (“Kowalski,” “we,” “us”) is a family-owned restoration and construction company at 2219 W. Melinda Lane, Bldg A, Phoenix, AZ 85027. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit kowalski.com or contact us through it, how we use that information, and who else sees it. It covers this website and the phone, email, and text conversations that start here. It does not cover other companies’ websites that we link to.

Information you give us

When you ask for help through this site, we collect what you type or attach:

• Service request form. The type of emergency, your name, phone number, email address, the property address and property type, your company name if you are a business, your insurance company if you plan to file a claim, a description of the damage, and any photos or documents you attach. Only your name, phone number, and the type of emergency are required.
• “Use my location” button. If you press it, your browser asks your permission and then sends your device’s GPS coordinates to us. We also send those coordinates to OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service to turn them into a street address so a crew can find the property. Nothing is collected if you do not press the button or you decline the permission prompt.
• Text messages. If you text our emergency line, we receive your phone number and your message. We may reply with a link you can tap to share your exact location. Tapping it sends us your coordinates the same way the button does.
• Phone calls and email. Whatever you tell us, including callback numbers and job details.
• Careers. If you email a resume, we receive what you send.

Please do not send Social Security numbers, bank or payment card details, or medical information through the form. If a job requires anything like that, we will collect it directly, in person or over the phone.

Information collected automatically

• Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the site: pages viewed, time on page, the device and browser, how you arrived, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. Google Analytics does not show us your name.
• Advertising measurement. We run Google Ads. Google’s conversion tags tell us whether a visit that started at an ad led to a call or a form submission. If you arrive from a Google ad, the phone number shown on the site may be a Google forwarding number that connects to our office; Google reports the call’s start time, duration, and the caller’s area code to us so we know which ads work. We may also report the click identifier and the value of a completed job back to Google. That report contains no name, phone number, or address. Google’s own privacy policy governs what Google collects.
• Click ID cookie. When you arrive from a Google ad, we store Google’s click identifier in a first-party cookie called kw_click_id for up to 90 days and attach it to any request you submit. The identifier is a code generated by Google and contains no personal details on its own.
• Technical logs. Our hosting provider records the IP address, time, and content of each form submission in short-term server logs. We use the IP address to limit repeated submissions and block spam.

Cookies

The site uses cookies set by Google for analytics and advertising, and the click ID cookie described above. No other cookies are set for visitors. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Google offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics from collecting data and lets you control ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. Blocking cookies does not affect your ability to request service. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal; there is no accepted standard for how a site should respond to it, and this site does not change its behavior when it receives one.

Content from other companies

• YouTube videos on some pages load only after you press play. When they load, YouTube and Google may set their own cookies.
• Google Maps embeds on the contact and service area pages are served by Google.
• The GuildQuality review widget on the home and reviews pages is served by GuildQuality.

Each of those companies handles information under its own privacy policy.

How we use your information

• To respond to your request, schedule an inspection, and dispatch a crew to the right address.
• To contact you by phone, email, or text about your request and your job. Text messages go only to people who check the consent box on the form or who text us first.
• To document the job, prepare estimates, and, when you ask us to, bill and coordinate with your insurance company.
• To keep the records that Arizona contractor, tax, and insurance rules require.
• To measure which advertising brings in real work and to improve the site.
• To detect spam and abuse and protect the site.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not give it to anyone for their own marketing. We share it only in these situations:

• Companies that run parts of this site for us: Vercel (hosting), Resend (delivers form submissions and location alerts to our staff by email), Twilio (sends and receives text messages), Google (analytics and advertising measurement), and OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim (address lookup). Each may use the information only to provide its service to us.
• Your insurance company, adjuster, or property manager, when you ask us to work with them on your claim or your job.
• Subcontractors and suppliers working on your job, who receive the job address and the details they need to do their part.
• Our accountants, attorneys, and insurers when needed to run the business.
• Law enforcement or courts when required by law or subpoena, or to protect the safety of a person or property.
• A buyer or successor if the business is ever sold or merged, under this same policy.

Text messaging

By checking the consent box on our form, or by texting us first, you agree to receive texts from Kowalski Construction about your request, including crew status updates, which may include a link that shows your crew’s status. Message frequency depends on your job. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Consent to texts is not a condition of hiring us; you can always call (602) 944-2645 instead. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How long we keep it

We keep job records, including your contact details, the property address, photos, and correspondence, for as long as we need them for the job, its warranty, insurance purposes, and the record-keeping periods that apply to licensed Arizona contractors, and then dispose of them securely. The website itself keeps no database of submissions: each request is emailed to our office through Resend, which keeps a delivery record, and our hosting provider keeps a short-term server log. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, so information you enter is encrypted on its way to us. Access to job information is limited to staff who need it to do your job. No system is perfectly secure, so please avoid sending information through the form that you would not want exposed.

Your choices

• Ask us what information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will confirm that you are the person the information is about and respond within a reasonable time. We may need to keep some records where the law, an open job, or an open claim requires it.
• Stop texts by replying STOP. Ask us to stop calling or emailing at any time.
• Control analytics and advertising cookies as described under Cookies.
• If a state consumer privacy law gives you additional rights, such as the right to know, delete, or opt out of certain uses, contact us and we will honor them where they apply.

Children

This site is for adults arranging restoration work. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top of the page.
